For those who don’t like to have the same breed as their neighbor, the mutt is the way to go. Inbreeding doesn’t occur in desi`s, so most of genetic problems aren’t as prevalent in mongrels as in purebred dogs. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean that mutts are healthier; generally speaking, dogs that were more exposed to natural selection (living on the street) are consequently more resistant. In most cases, when you adopt a dog, you are saving a life. For those that choose to adopt a dog, this feeling can be very rewarding.18 supporters -
