Believe Out Loud for LGBT Inclusion in the Church
Join the Chorus and BREAK THE SILENCE with the Believe Out Loud campaign, aimed at increasing acceptance of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) individuals in their respective religious communities. It’s not enough to believe that these individuals should be welcomed in their church communities—we must sing their welcoming as loudly as we sing the hymns. Because welcoming the LGBT community is itself a form of hymn—an expression of the ideals upon which our religious faith rests.
We are working towards the day when LGBT individuals are embraced in their religious communities. To that end, we will launch a multi-year and multi-tiered social marketing campaign to influence the attitudes, beliefs, and eventually, governing policies of mainline Protestant clergy to welcome LGBT individuals into their folds.
