Wear the badge during September to bring awareness of the rapidly depleting Rhino population in SA.
Now, traditionally Spring is a happy day when companies and people wear bright, joyful colours. SA should all wear black on Spring, 1st September and tie a black ribbon to the right hand mirror of their vehicles or motorbikes. The idea is that it should symbolise the following;
a) We are fed-up with poachers and the leniency showed in their prosecution and sentences including affording them bail.
b) In memory of ABSA and all the other Rhino's that were killed so senseless for their horns.
c) To symbolise that the future is black for our Rhino population because our government shows lack of interest in fighting this?
Please, please wear BLACK on 1st September 2011 and tie a BLACK ribbon around the right hand mirror of your vehicle. Spread the word. PLEASE join in this campaign! If you have contacts in the media – please help us
A day in History!
After walking 2000km along the N1 Highway and bisecting South Africa, Paul Jennings and Sboniso (Spoon) Phakathi will reach the end of their journey at the Two Oceans restaurant at Cape Point. This is due to take place on the 23rd of July and will be celebrated as Rights for Rhinos Day. We would like to encourage all of you to 'wear' your Rights for Rhinos Facebook badge in support of this amazing achievement of these two men, as well as to show your support in stoppoing rhino poaching.
Rhino poaching in SA

To help protect the Black Rhino from illegal poaching in Zimbabwe and South Africa. The IAPF's aim is to create awarness and presence in these volatile areas to help create numbers once again of this critically endangered animal. With your help either by donation or by volunteering, we can educate and create anti-poaching units. For anymore information please take time to look at our website http://www.iapf.org/ or you can follow us on Facebook-IAPF Ranger Training Assistance Program (Green Army).
All donations go directly to SANPARKS.
Donations are needed in order to train, equip and employ field rangers in the Kruger National Park. This is where most of the worlds population of Rhinos reside.
The best way to keep these animals safe is by getting more Anti-poaching units out in the bush.
Please understand that this is a war that we can win, but only if we stand together.
Go to --Ourhornisnotmedicine.givengain.org--
You can make a donation there. And never forget that there is no such thing as a "small donation".
Please share this post with all your friends. Companies and schools are also welcome to get involved.
Thank you everyone
