À 18 h, la direction de Postes Canada rejette l’offre du Syndicat. 13 juin : Le STTP accuse Postes Canada de tenter par tous les moyens d’amener les travailleurs et travailleuses des postes à déclencher une grève générale en vue d’obtenir une loi de retour au travail du gouvernement conservateur majoritaire. 14 juin (matin) : Postes Canada prétend avoir subie des pertes financières de 70 millions de dollars depuis le 3 juin. En réponse à la question d’un journaliste, la ministre du Travail, Lisa Raitt, affirme qu’une loi de retour au travail n’est pas nécessaire à Postes Canada, parce qu’il s’agit de grèves tournantes et que la livraison du courrier se poursuit. 14 juin (soir) : Postes Canada prétend avoir subie des pertes financières de 100 millions de dollars depuis le 3 juin. Elle décrète un lock-out national. 15 juin (matin) : La ministre du Travail, Lisa Raitt, affirme qu’elle a reçu très peu de plaintes au sujet des grèves tournantes aux postes. 15 juin (après-midi) : La ministre du Travail, Lisa Raitt, annonce le dépôt d’un projet de loi de retour au travail en réponse au lock-out national décrété par Postes Canada. Les mesures prises par Postes Canada pour inciter le gouvernement à adopter une loi de retour au travail expliquent son refus de vraiment négocier au cours des huit derniers mois. Elle a entamé les négociations résolue à s’en prendre aux droits et aux avantages sociaux des travailleuses et travailleurs qui ont permis à Postes Canada d’enregistrer des profits durant 16 années consécutives.
