Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego, the largest children’s hospital in California, is a 442-bed pediatric care facility providing the largest source of comprehensive pediatric medical services in San Diego, Southern Riverside and Imperial counties. Rady Children’s is the only hospital in the San Diego area dedicated exclusively to pediatric healthcare and is the region’s only designated pediatric trauma center. On October 10, 2010, Rady Children's opened the Acute Care Pavilion, a LEED-Certified (green) building that is home to the incredible Peckham Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, the state-of-the-art Warren Family Surgical Center, and a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit that cares for our community’s most fragile newborns. In May 2011, U.S. News & World Report ranked Rady Children’s among the best children’s hospitals in the nation in all ten pediatric specialties the magazine surveyed. Support our Children HospitalWhat we do Foundation PAZ-Holandesa has been since 2000 active in Peru and has aimed at the treatment, rehabilitation and reintegration of children (without economic sources) with a handicap. PAZ-Holandesa started its activities with organising operation projects in Cusco, Lima and Arequipa for children born with a cleftplate, spina bifida or other birds defects. A child policlinic was opened in 2001, in Arequipa (the second city of Peru) to be able offer a complete treatment and rehabilitation this way. Is treated annually more than 7000 patients in the policlinic. Because PAZ-Holandesa offer continuity by its continuing presence their patients also many come from the whole country.In october 2006 we started to build our own children hospital, which is almost ready,it will be totally in function by the end of august 2011.Our aim is to operate (for free) around 1000 children yearly, beside the allready 7000 free medical services giving to the Peruvian children without financial resources.
