Karnataka Lions is a participating team in the World Series Hockey Tournament that has been acquired by Sporting Ace, which is a part of the Zentrum Group, which is a global player in the field of energy, chemicals, education, sports, information technology, consulting, media and outsourcing and works with corporate houses, governments, and institutions. The team is mentored by Bollywood action hero Sunil Shetty.
WSH conceived with the objective of reinvigorating the sport of Hockey in India and creating a financially self sustaining ecosystem for Hockey to thrive and grow to become the “sport of choice” for young Indians. An annual event, World Series Hockey™ will feature “city–based” teams playing against each other in a “home and away” league, culminating into a multi header playoff to determine the World Series Hockey™ Champion.
