Hundreds of Bulldogs are lost, abandoned, taken to animal shelters, or surrendered to rescue every year. This is the price of popularity. (The Bulldog is among the 24 most popular breeds.) Buyers are intrigued by the Bulldog’s many charms, only later to discover the special care that may come with their wrinkles, “pushed in” faces, unusual structure, and, in some cases, genetic faults from irresponsible breeding. Choosing a rescued dog over a purchased pup will not solve the pet overpopulation problem (only responsible pet owners and breeders can do that), but it does give many of them a chance they otherwise would not have. Beyond doing a “good deed”, adopting a rescued dog can be the best addition to the family, and the best decision you ever make.

  Alleys Rescued Angels is a 501(c)(3) non-profit husky rescue organization. We are dedicated to saving the lives of abandoned Siberian Huskies throughout Los Angeles County, Southern California and beyond. Although an all breed rescue, our focus is Siberian Huskies and the Northern Breeds. (And the odd cat that thinks they’re a husky!) In the last year alone we have saved over 300 dogs from euthanasia and placed them in loving homes. All donations are tax deductible. We are pleased to announce that we have just began our Northern California husky adoption program. This will help us reach more potential adopters and therefore save more Siberian Huskies from being euthanized in the high kill shelters of Los Angeles County.
