Saamanjasya aims to bring together Corporates and NGO’s on a common platform to ensure inclusive growth
“Saamanjasya” is a unique endeavor Vinod Gupta School of management and we, the students of VGSoM, pioneered. It aspires to bring the different pillars of development, Corporate-NGOs-Students on a common platform. We can no longer expect sustainable development and social well being without sensitizing towards and understanding the needs of our society at large. It is very easy talking about what is right and what needs to be done, but the fact remains that someone needs to get up and do it. Saamanjasya was step in the direction of taking a concrete step towards making better the lives of a few people we were able to touch.
The most difficult job in the world is to get things started. We had several challenges ahead of us, no history to restore faith, no resources to fall back upon and a hazy road ahead if and when we get stuck. I believe that once you have convinced yourself that something needs to be done, circumstances conspire towards what you aspire. Something similar happened with Saamanjasya. For the first time, a group of Management students had set forth on a path which was untried at any level and hence, there were unseen obstacles and unplanned contingencies. We were unsure of how people would take to the concept of “Saamanjasya” and we shouldered a greater responsibility, that of propagating our message across without distorting the essence and meaning of the cause. During these times plaguing with uncertainty, it was as if the US presidential elections were rewound. It was the belief which kept us going - “Yes we can!!”
