  • The fight for Human Rights needs a symbol - vote!
Human Rights don't have a logo ... yet! My big sister Dörte and her friend Benjamin created this logo for the international HR design challenge. Their comment: "This logo demands equal rights as a precondition to achieve space of freedom, openness and individuality. The increasing line shows a dynamic movement towards a positive future for every human being." If you like it as much as I do and if you can imagine it‎ being graffiti-ed on many walls in Syria, Iran or even North Korea, please follow the link and vote for their logo "Equality for Freedom". PS Please don't only like on facebook - these votes aren't counted in the contest! 1. Please follow the link to the HR logo 2. Log in with your facebook account 3. Wait for the confirmation email (the site is very slow, keep on trying, every vote counts!) 4. Like the logo by clicking on the little heart. Thank you!!

  • Human Rights Day & Nasrin Sotoudeh
Dear friends and compeers who want to have a however small share in the efforts aimed at freeing a courageous woman in prison, a lioness in chain! We call on you to change your Facebook profile picture to one of the photos of Nasrin Sotoudeh. This way, you can help reach our voiceless screams to the authorities inside Iran and across the world: Here in Iran, a woman has been jailed in order to stifle her voice who demanded freedom, to cut her hands which were helping human rights defenders and children! Nevertheless, she was not silenced! She deprived herself from visits by her children and husband so that nobody could deny others their rights. Friends! Let’s fill Facebook with photos of Nasrin Sotoudeh on Human Rights Day, Saturday, December 10th ! Even those of you who live outside Iran can tell your non-Iranian friends the story of Nasrin: tell the tale of a woman who has not given up her ideals even after she is thrown behind bars. Ask your friends to change their profile picture even for a few hours. Let’s become a united global voice with a photo of Nasrin and with this message: Free Nasrin Sotoudeh! It is possible that some people, for whatever reason, are not able to change their profile pictures. We recommend that they help spread the word by sharing this text in any way they see fit.
